Static Systems hosts CPD visit from the Design in Mental Health Network’s Board

DiMHN Committee Members (L to R) Jonathan Campbell, Alex Caruso, Jenny Gill, Philip Ross, Cath Lake, Paula Reavey, Clive Stone.

Static Systems Group recently welcomed committee members from the Design in Mental Health Network (DiMHN) to its Staffordshire headquarters, where the committee combined a CPD visit with its latest board meeting. The main aims of the visit, which was co-hosted by Static Systems Group and Guardian Staff Safety Systems Limited, were to establish opportunities for collaborative working and highlight latest product developments in attack alarm, fire and call systems.

Committee members were shown around Static Systems’ Design and Innovation Centre and Concept Ward and were able to find out about the outcomes of the collaborative working Static Systems and a number of suppliers have been undertaking over the past year since the Concept Ward was launched.

Jennie Terry, Marketing Manager at Static Systems, comments: “We were delighted to host this visit from the DiMHN. As well as providing an opportunity to discuss how we might better serve the mental health sector and work more closely with the network, it also enabled us to demonstrate ways in which our advanced communication solutions can help with improving staff safety, and assist in enhancing efficiencies in mental health facilities – freeing up staff time to care while simultaneously helping to provide a sense of well-being for patients.”

Jenny Gill, Chairman of the Design in Mental Health Network, adds: “We recognise the value of getting out and about to meet our members so we have introduced a series of CPD visits which coincide with our board meetings. The visit to Static Systems’ headquarters proved really interesting and was a great opportunity to see how Static Systems and Guardian are considering innovative ways of using technology to provide real benefits for both staff and patients in the mental health environment.  We’d like to thank the teams at Static Systems and Guardian for organising this informative visit.”

Static Systems’ Design & Innovation Centre is available as a venue for industry workshops and seminars. To find out more please email: designandinnovationcentre@staticsystems.co.uk or call the company’s head office on: 01902 895 551.
