Project outcome

ACA has designed a Learning Disability Centre at Marfleet Avenue in Hull. The design consists of a six bed, residential unit along with a landscaped sensory garden and day centre. There is a shortage of learning disability facilities in the local area.  The development of a new learning disability centre in Hull therefore responds directly to the need for more well-designed centres which offer relief and support to local families.

The Design

The design reflects the local vernacular whilst implementing innovative and contemporary design elements. The materials used complement each other via the considered simplicity of the design. Our “people-centred design” ethic is at the heart of this project. The outcome will provide a user-orientated, meaningful space.

ACA provides sophisticated visualisations to help clients and members of the public truly visualise the proposal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-t_HB1g7SY&t=9s
